Fist To Five

Fist to Five allows for quick gauge of student understanding. It encourages active participation, and promotes inclusivity by involving all students, creating a dynamic and responsive learning environment.

Steps:
1. Describe the levels to students:
      0 (fist): I don’t understand at all.
      1 finger: I need help.
      2 fingers: I could use more practice
      3 fingers: I understand pretty well.
      4 fingers: I mostly understand.
      5 fingers: I completely understand.
 

2. Ask students to show their understanding level at key points. Allow a few seconds for responses and prompt again if needed.
